Through decades of academic conferences, global collaborations, and the introduction of Ecocriticism into Indian education, tiNai has sparked conversations that bridge culture and environment. The creation of The Ecomedia Team in 2007 marked a turning point — where ecology met media — giving rise to documentaries, screenings, and visual archives that deepen our collective ecological consciousness.
Now, as tiNai prepares to launch its own Ecofilm Festival, we’re proud to present a digital home for this evolving mission. This website is not just a showcase, but a call — for thinkers, artists, educators, and changemakers to come together and shape a more connected, compassionate world.
About the Project: Mudugar Audio Dictionary
The Mudugar Audio Dictionary Project is a heartfelt multimedia effort to preserve and celebrate the spoken heritage of the indigenous Mudugar community of Palakkad, Kerala. With rich linguistic layers drawn from Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, the Muduga language is as intricate as it is endangered. This digital initiative captures audio pronunciations and definitions, offering an accessible, living archive that honours the community’s voice, memory, and identity.
